New Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon Officially Unveiled in Japan

After the new Legacy Sedan and Outback were revealed at the New York Auto Show, Subaru today performed the world unveiling of the new 2010 Legacy Touring Wagon. The Touring Wagon is the same car as the Outback, minus the amplified trip height, roof rails and SUV-like body cladding. Between the North American and Japanese market Legacy there is only few difference a few inferior minutiae like the prolonged air intakes at the corners of the front mega and the redesigned exterior mirrors.

For Japan, power comes from a variety of engines including two 2.5-liter units. The first is a naturally aspirated flat four-cylinder with 170hp (125kW) and 170 lb-ft (230Nm) of torque, the second is a turbocharged version with 265hp (195kW) and 258 lb-ft (350Nm) of torque. Sitting at the top of range is a flat 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine which produces 256hp (188kW) and 247 lb-ft (335Nm) of torque. The European bazaar typical that will be unveiled along with the sedan and Outback at the Frankfurt Show in September should get a 2.0-liter wrestler gasoline division as well as Subaru‘s new four-pot diesel.

The new Legacy Touring Wagon comes equipped with a type of positive strategy skin including larger rear door breech for enhanced access and slimmer pillars for better visibility. Key options involve radar based cruise running, GPS navigation, keyless admission with promote badge early, and usual windshield wipers.
